Boarding

Location:

Horse Haven Montana is located in Huson, Montana — just west of Missoula in the heart of western Montana. We are close to Interstate-90, making it convenient for travelers going east or west through the Missoula Valley. Our location is an EZ on/off from I-90.

Boarding care available for:

  • Overnight: $20/horse
  • Weekly: $75/horse
  • Monthly: $160/horse plus $10/bale of hay

Includes:

  • Open space boarding
  • Large pasture area
  • Comfortable three-sided shelters with roof
  • Nearby trails and riding areas

We do not believe in nor do we provide enclosed stalls; but always provide excellent shelter from the elements.

For overnight guests:

We offer safe, private, temporary overnight parking for horse trailers adjacent to the pasture for a small added fee. There are no hooks ups for sleeping; please note, this is for overnight parking only.

For long-term boarding and care:

Multiple large pasture areas, a fenced arena and three sided shelter with roof, are your horse’s home away from home with daily, hands-on care. Horses are fed high quality grass hay twice a day with fresh water and salt blocks available at all times. We will be happy to feed any special grains or other dietary requirements as requested or needed.

General policies:

Space is limited as we strive to provide personal care and attention. Horses are accepted on a first come-first served basis with proof of necessary vaccinations and health records. We reserve the right to refuse any horse that may be difficult to handle as we strive to make Horse Haven Montana a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for both horse and owner.

Please note, Horse Haven Montana is not a training or riding facility although there are many trails, riding arenas and recreational riding areas very close by and we are close to I-90 as well as Forest Service lands. We provide personal, short and long term care as well as rescue and adoption services. Occasionally we have horses available for adoption with a fee (please see adoption page). All boarding fees must be paid in advance.
